Treat & Protect Your Gums

Scaling is a non-surgical deep cleaning around and below the gumline, all the way down to the bottom of the pocket, to remove plaque and tartar and any infection that may be developing or already present.

Root Planing is the smoothing (or planing) of the roots to help the gums reattach to the teeth. Scaling and root planing often take more than one visit to complete and may require a local anesthetic.
